About Athra

We are early. That is the most useful thing we can tell you.

Athra is a young system, built by people running real club operations, and it is being shaped right now by the clubs and schools using it.

Where it came from

Built from the admin, not the pitch

Athra started because the running of a club is mostly not coaching. It is a fixture list that changed on Thursday, a squad nobody has confirmed, three parents asking the same question in three different places, a subs list held in a spreadsheet, and a head injury that somebody needs to still know about in six weeks.

None of that is exotic. It is the ordinary weekly load of anyone who runs a club or a school sport programme, and it is what the software is aimed at. Every module exists because the job existed first.

Where it is built

Born in Dubai, built for anywhere

Athra was built in Dubai, where a single club can run junior sections, school fixtures and senior sides across several sports and several nationalities at once. That is a hard place to start, and it made the system general rather than narrow.

It is not a UAE product. Clubs and schools anywhere run the same shapes: teams, seasons, selection, availability, subs, records and the duty of care that sits underneath all of it. The system is built to run any club or school sport programme, and live today that means rugby and netball.

The name

Athra

Athra is one letter from athar, Arabic for the trace something leaves behind. That is what a season should leave: not a group chat nobody can search, but a record. Who played, how long for, what was owed, what happened, and who was told.

How we work

We build with a small number of clubs and schools rather than for an imagined one. Their fixtures, their age groups, their competition rules. When the system does not fit, the system changes.

We say what is live and what is not. Nothing on this site describes a feature that does not exist yet, and where something is coming rather than shipped, the page says so in the place you would look for it.

Access is enforced per record rather than promised in a policy. That decision predates the first screen and it is the reason parent accounts, coach accounts and club admin all read from one club record instead of three copies of it.
